華人說英文，說不下去時，很容易用just 混過去。說 just不僅在語氣上可以停頓，也有「其實我也沒有要說什麼」的意思，給自己找台階下。某人談以前和某人初次相遇，不熟悉句型，只好自己發明She just came, we just met.
這是很隨意的說法，下不為例喔！學好下列完整、正式的說法，下回大聲說出來。
We met for the first time when she came to my house.
I met her for the first time when we went camping together.
I met her for the first time when I joined her class two years ago.
